Ashuthosh and Suma

I ended up shooting Ashuthosh and Suma’s engagement at Green Meadows, Chennai, after a single phone call and a few whatsapp messages with Latha aunty, Ashuthosh’s mum. I cannot justly explain what sheer delight it is when I have a prospective client tell me “…these are my expectations and requirements; the rest I fully trust you and your professional expertise”

It gives the best kind of relief from where we can start our work with peace and clarity. From here, it was no surprise when aunty reached out to me a few months later, asking me to shoot the wedding at Guruvayur as well.

I happened to be the one-woman team the groom’s side had hired to document the wedding, and boy what kind hospitality and warmth I enjoyed the entire time! The fact that you cannot carry phones into the Guruvayur temple adds both a fun and a suspense element to how the families coordinate the meeting, show up at the right mandap (together with the entire wedding party) at the right time slot, and have the family member who has gone in to get blessings for the mangalsutra come back out just in time, while the entire wedding itself takes less than 5 whole minutes to be done and cheered on for :D
