Traditionally, summer shoots at Miththam would evoke a sense of trepidation due to the relentless humidity and the absence of centralized air conditioning. However, this time, serendipity graced us with a delightful surprise. As we entered the venue, we were greeted by a breath of cool air, courtesy of a newly installed air conditioning system. It was a significant change that would prove instrumental in us getting the photos we did because let's face it, 40 degrees weather and an outdoor-ish venue is the worst combo peak summer Chennai can offer us.

We weren't done with surprises for the day as we walked into Simerna's room for her bridal portraits and realized she is taking charge of her own make-up. We love the wonderful set of makeup artists we get to work with through the year, but even they will agree with us when we say, it is much easier for photographers when we aren't competing for the minimal time a bride gets between getting ready and the start of an event, especially at Indian weddings, a synonym for chaotic!

In the end however, it was the intangible moments—the tears shed, the shared glances, the heartfelt connections—that held the true essence of Simerna and Aditya's wedding.
